Two cards in hand, five shared on the table.
Each player is dealt two private cards. Five community cards are then turned face up in three stages: the flop (three cards), the turn (one) and the river (one), with a betting round before the flop and after each stage. You make the best five-card hand from any combination of your two cards and the five shared ones. Players still in after the final betting round show their hands, and the best one takes the pot.
