How Thirty-one is played here
The rules this table deals by. Everybody at the table sees the same lines before the first hand.
- Three cards, and only cards of the same suit count together. Aces are 11, court cards 10, and number cards their face value — so three tens in three suits are worth ten.
- Hold three of a suit adding to exactly 31 and it shows itself: the round ends and everybody else loses a life.
- Instead of drawing you may knock. Everybody else gets exactly one more turn, then all hands are shown and the lowest loses a life — two, if that is the player who knocked.
- Lose your last life and you are on the bus: one more round, and losing it puts you out. The last player left wins.
How it works
- Open a table. It gets a short code of its own.
- Read the code out, or send the link. Anyone you send it to sits down as a guest, without an account.
- Deal once everyone is seated — or give each empty chair a bot and start now.
Questions about playing Thirty-one online
- How many can play Thirty-one online here?
- 2 to 9 at one table. A bot can take any seat nobody fills, so a game never has to wait for somebody to turn up.
- Can I play Thirty-one against the computer?
- Yes. Give any empty seat a bot and it plays like anyone else at the table, seeing only its own cards.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Every table here is free, there are no ads, and nothing about you is sold or handed on.
- Do I need an account?
- Only to open a table. Joining one never needs an account — anyone you send the code to sits down as a guest.
- Does Thirty-one work on a phone?
- Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and there is nothing to install.
