How Schieber jass is played here
The rules this table deals by. Everybody at the table sees the same lines before the first hand.
- Thirty-six cards, nine each. In trumps the jack is the puur and worth 20, the nine is the nell and worth 14. In plain suits the pack reads as printed — the ten sits between the jack and the nine, and is still worth ten.
- Six contracts. The four suits, then obenabe — no trump, aces high, eights worth eight — and undenufe, no trump running upward from the six, where the six is the best card in every suit. Each carries a multiplier, and the no-trump games carry the larger ones.
- Instead of choosing you may push, once: your partner must then name something. Follow suit if you can — or play a trump instead, which is never a revoke.
- Runs of three or more and four of a kind are declared. Only the partnership with the best single declaration scores, and then all of theirs count. Stöck — the king and queen of trumps — is 20 and always scores.
How it works
- Open a table. It gets a short code of its own.
- Read the code out, or send the link. Anyone you send it to sits down as a guest, without an account.
- Deal once everyone is seated — or give each empty chair a bot and start now.
Questions about playing Schieber jass online
- How many can play Schieber jass online here?
- 4 at one table. A bot can take any seat nobody fills, so a game never has to wait for somebody to turn up.
- Can I play Schieber jass against the computer?
- Yes. Give any empty seat a bot and it plays like anyone else at the table, seeing only its own cards.
- Does it cost anything?

- Does Schieber jass work on a phone?
- Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and there is nothing to install.
