How Five hundred is played here
The rules this table deals by. Everybody at the table sees the same lines before the first hand.
- Forty-three cards: the pack with the twos, the threes and the black fours taken out, and one joker put in. Ten each and three in the kitty.
- The jack of trumps is the right bower and the jack of the same colour is the left bower, which becomes a trump. The joker is the highest card in the pack and takes any trick it is played to.
- Whoever wins the auction takes the three in the middle into hand and puts three back, face down and out of the game.
- Misère is a bid to take no trick at all, played alone with your partner's cards out of the deal. Open misère is the same with your hand face up.
How it works
- Open a table. It gets a short code of its own.
- Read the code out, or send the link. Anyone you send it to sits down as a guest, without an account.
- Deal once everyone is seated — or give each empty chair a bot and start now.
Questions about playing Five hundred online
- How many can play Five hundred online here?
- 4 at one table. A bot can take any seat nobody fills, so a game never has to wait for somebody to turn up.
- Can I play Five hundred against the computer?
- Yes. Give any empty seat a bot and it plays like anyone else at the table, seeing only its own cards.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Every table here is free, there are no ads, and nothing about you is sold or handed on.
- Do I need an account?
- Only to open a table. Joining one never needs an account — anyone you send the code to sits down as a guest.
- Does Five hundred work on a phone?
- Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and there is nothing to install.
