- Free
- Nothing to download
How Doppelkopf is played here
The rules this table deals by. Everybody at the table sees the same lines before the first hand.
- Forty-eight cards — two copies each of nine, ten, jack, queen, king and ace in every suit. Twelve each, and two hundred and forty points in the pack.
- The trumps are the two tens of hearts, then every queen, then every jack, then the whole of diamonds. So a queen of spades is not a spade, and hearts is a suit of six cards.
- Whoever holds the two queens of clubs are partners, and nobody says so. You find out by watching who helps whom. Holding both is a solo against the other three.
- Saying "Re" doubles the value and tells the table you hold a queen of clubs. Above it are promises to hold the other side under ninety, sixty, thirty or nothing — and a promise broken loses the hand.
How it works
- Open a table. It gets a short code of its own.
- Read the code out, or send the link. Anyone you send it to sits down as a guest, without an account.
- Deal once everyone is seated — or give each empty chair a bot and start now.
Questions about playing Doppelkopf online
- How many can play Doppelkopf online here?
- 4 at one table. A bot can take any seat nobody fills, so a game never has to wait for somebody to turn up.
- Can I play Doppelkopf against the computer?
- Yes. Give any empty seat a bot and it plays like anyone else at the table, seeing only its own cards.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Every table here is free, there are no ads, and nothing about you is sold or handed on.
- Do I need an account?
- Only to open a table. Joining one never needs an account — anyone you send the code to sits down as a guest.
- Does Doppelkopf work on a phone?
- Yes. It runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and there is nothing to install.
